Jill McClennen’s work in end-of-life care was inspired by caring for her grandmother during the last years of her life and being with her through hospice and her death at home. That experience showed Jill how meaningful compassionate, non-medical support can be, not only for the person who is dying, but for the people who love and care for them.

As an end-of-life doula and funeral celebrant, Jill supports individuals and families before, during, and after death. Her work includes end-of-life planning, caregiver support, bedside vigils, grief support, funeral planning, and guidance through complex end-of-life decisions. At the heart of her work is the belief that everyone deserves to feel supported, respected, and cared for at the end of life.

Jill brings that same belief to her work with Threshold House. She is passionate about creating a home-like place where people who cannot safely remain at home can spend their final days surrounded by comfort, dignity, companionship, and community.

Based in South Jersey and serving the greater Philadelphia region, Jill is also the host of the Seeing Death Clearly podcast, where she helps make conversations about death, dying, and grief less intimidating and more approachable.
